Copyright and License

Authors retain the copyright of all articles published in the Journal of Engineering Innovation in Civil Systems (JEICS). However, authors grant the journal the right of first publication of their work.

All articles published in JEICS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This license permits others to copy, distribute, and adapt the work, including for commercial purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the authors, the original publication in this journal is acknowledged, and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors are permitted to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in JEICS.

Authors are also permitted and encouraged to share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites), both prior to and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges and increase the visibility, impact, and citation of the published work.
