Author Guideline

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial screening by the editorial board before proceeding to the peer review process.

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf). The minimum length is 5,000 words, formatted in a single column on A4 paper size, using Times New Roman font, 12 pt.

Submitted manuscripts must be original works and contribute to the development of knowledge in civil engineering and related engineering systems.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must be organized in the following order:

a. Title

The title must be written in English, clearly reflecting the content of the article. It should be informative, concise (approximately 12–15 words), and should not contain formulas.

b. Authors

Full names of authors without academic titles must be clearly written. For multiple authors, a corresponding author must be designated.

c. Author Affiliation

Each author must provide complete affiliation details, including institution name, address, postal code, telephone number (optional), and email address.

d. Abstract

The abstract must be written in English in a single paragraph (150–200 words), including background, research objectives, methods, main results, conclusions, and research contributions.

e. Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords or phrases in English, arranged alphabetically.

f. Introduction

The introduction should include background, problem formulation, research urgency, and a brief relevant literature review. It should end with the research objectives. Recommended length is approximately 1,000 words and should be presented systematically.

g. Methods

This section must clearly describe the methodology to ensure reproducibility, including:

  • Research design
  • Materials and tools (if applicable)
  • Research procedures
  • Data collection and analysis techniques

h. Results and Discussion

This section presents the research findings clearly and systematically, supported by relevant tables and/or figures (recommended 3–7). The discussion should explain the meaning of the results, relate them to previous studies, and highlight scientific and practical implications.

i. Conclusion

The conclusion must be written in a single paragraph summarizing the main findings and contributions of the study without numbering.

j. Acknowledgement

This section acknowledges individuals or institutions that contributed to the research but are not listed as authors, including funding sources (if any).

k. References

References must be managed using reference management tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero. The citation style used is APA (American Psychological Association).

Additional Notes

  • Manuscripts must be written in a scientific, systematic, and clear manner
  • Use recent and relevant references (preferably from the last 5–10 years)
  • Avoid plagiarism and ensure compliance with the journal’s publication ethics
  • Manuscripts that do not follow these guidelines will be returned to authors for revision
